Robust Road Repair-manufactured cold asphalt was used in paving one of the main roads for Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality in Harrismith in 2014.
Cold asphalt was more an accurate choice as, at the time, this town was more than 2 hours from the nearest Hot Asphalt plant, making it impossible to receive Hot material on site after the long haul and mobile plants are too costly.
The road had lost surfacing to about 90%. After the use of cold asphalt to pave the road, the road remains durable and safe for all motorists till this day.
